Dig and Sow - An Introduction

19th May 2012 was a big - and dig - day in Paston, when a team from the University of Cambridge Archeaeological Unit were in the village to arrange the digging of a series of archaeological test pits - one metre by one metre by one metre.

Amongst the villagers taking part were Paul and Christine Damen. Two of the pits were dug in their garden and Paul took the opportunity to make a video to introduce and record the outcome of the day.

You can see form the number in the church just how many took part. There was tremendous enthusiasm for the day.

Go to the next page, Dig and Sow, The Test Pits, for a more detailed look at some of the various sites.
